Well it’s been a week since the big Altitude Launch Party and Partner Presentation. We had a really great day and I can’t believe after all the prep that it’s over. We decided to hold the event at Cantos Music Foundation in Calgary’s Beltline. The venue was a perfect fit for us, it’s in a great location, and they are an amazing organization that houses a very impressive collection of musical instruments, they believe in education through music and are embedded in the community and culture of Calgary.
We broke the day into two parts; the morning was the Partner Presentations. With over 50 attendees there to learn more about who we are and what we do the morning was a success before it began! We started off with an introduction from the owner of Altitude Communications, Marshall Anderson. He started out by giving a bit of information on why we chose to re-brand. In short, we have been two companies for over a year, Connect Your World and TNS Telecom, we all worked together, collaborated and often took care of the same clients. It made sense for us and for our customers that we brought everyone together and cleared up any confusion that may have been out there. Now we are one, new in name, tried and true in relationships and service. Marshall also spoke about our great products and services including AltiCare, we are very proud of our AltiCare program and think it really sets us apart.
Next up we had a wireless presentation from the good folks at Rogers. After that we introduced our guests to 
Jeff Rowley the worldwide technical lead for ShoreTel. He was as usual AMAZING! He walked us through everything from ShoreTel’s Unified Communications tools, to the system architecture, to the awesome wireless and mobility capabilities. We saw how the ShoreTel communicator works on an ipad, iphone, a blackberry, an android, well you get the point. He was great, he always is! During Jeff’s presentation we took a few moments to connect with Lisa from LifeSize Video Conferencing. Lisa was in Huston Texas in her office demonstrating the LifeSize tool, they are the first to market with an HD video conferencing product. It was very impressive, Lisa did a great job of demonstrating the features and versatility of the video conferencing, it is a great compliment to a Shoretel IP phone system, it’s a cost saver (less travel expenses) and collaboration tool (file sharing, desktop sharing) for any multi-site company. The morning ended on a very successful note with many attendees letting us know that they found the presentations valuable.
The afternoon was all about fun! We wanted to thank all of the amazing people who have su
pported and continue to support us today. We threw a party complete with balloons, cocktails, yummy food, music, prizes and of course phones to play with! Everyone had a great time; the staff all appreciated having a moment to thank so many people for their support. Rogers, Allstream and ShoreTel set-up information booths and donated fabulous door prizes as did Shaw Communications. The day was a success; we are already looking forward to our next presentation.
