Marshall Anderson

President at Altitude Communications

My background in telecommunications goes back 20 years. I started working in the industry when long distance still cost $.54  a minute, and corporate voicemail was considered a luxury feature worth paying tens of thousands of dollars for. I’ve worked in most areas of telecom with experience in carrier voice and internet services, cellular and wireless communications, business phones systems, VOIP, and of course cloud and hosted telephones. All of these are tools to help my customers stay in touch with their customers and it’s my job to make sure they do that with the best technology available today.

I get to know most customers that join our ecosystem and you’ll work with me mostly when developing a solution for your business. Sometimes you need something simple and a preconfigured package works great. We take the approach of owning our knowledge where needed and sprinkling a little salt and pepper (it matches my hair!) to make sure what we build is to your taste. Of course things don’t always go 100% to plan and whenever you feel you need some additional attention, I’ll be here to help put the train back on the tracks. My success is 100% dependent on your success and I and the other great people here will show you that’s the truth. I look forward to working with you.

Kelly Hopp

Program Manager

I have been working in telecom for 15 years, during that time there has been a lot of change in technology and business needs. I have always really enjoyed working with clients on finding the best solutions to improve their business and processes. The great part about working for a small, agile, company such as Altitude is that I have been able to really learn and explore the Telecommunications business from many angles. From working closely with clients on our AltiCare maintenance program, to supporting our website and marketing efforts, to now supporting our Partner Program and new client relationships, I have really enjoyed it all. It has been exciting to touch many different parts of the business and learn that as long as I’m working directly with partners and clients I’m happy!

Where you will find me in Altitude is two-fold. I may be spending time with you as a technology partner that works with us on providing business communication solutions to your clients. I support our partners and their clients with our AltiPartner Program, this program allows partners to introduce us to their clients and receive an additional source of revenue for their business. I also work directly with our clients on solutions for their businesses, I value these relationships and have a lot of trust in the Altitude team. We will always put our clients first and support their business.

I’m Inder Maan, Manager of Technical Services here at Altitude Communications. Deirdre Kincel

Accounts Receivable & Payable, Alticare Manager and Trainer

I worked in the telco world on and off since the 90’s when telephone number porting first began and orders were sent via fax! Voice experience at MetroNet, Group Telecom and Bell comprise my background prior to joining the Altitude team in the mid 2000’s. Over the years I’ve worn several hats for the company including trainer which involved travelling across our province and country with my portable phone system (packed in a suitcase), setting up in boardrooms and playing a game of show and tell! Hard to fathom in today’s age of web-based softphone and video conferencing but I did enjoy the face to face experience with our customers. Today, I assists in the daily operations of the company and am involved with porting, billing, supply chain and systems maintenance. True to form of a small company, my role is ever-changing and never boring! I am proud to be part of the Altitude team and to support our fantastic customer base.

Altitude Communications Team Joe Sikorski

Joe Sikorski

Minister of Arts and Crafts / Lead Technician

I started out in telecom back around 1996 pulling datacom CAT3 and CAT5 wiring for a local interconnect company just out of SAIT. From there I moved into Nortel CISC and MICS 1.0 systems gradually which were very popular back in the 1990’s . I eventually moved into a national support role for Sprint Protégé, key systems and then over to TNS Telecom specializing in Comdial, Nortel, and eventually Samsung and ShoreTel IP-PBX systems.  I decided to  try some other things for a while too and moved on to work a few years rebuilding call centers across Canada and the US for one of the largest direct marketing companies in North America, then working at Shaw Cablesystems for a few years and making my way up to a Senior Service Technician role in Calgary/Southern Alberta area.

After touching base with Marshall Anderson about 11 years ago, I decided to return to the newly monikered Altitude Communications. That is when things got more interesting. Since then, I’ve also been part of the design, implement and deploy process for a few generations of our hosted Altisphere systems with ShoreTel, Mitel, and Wildix systems, as well as several private hosted client platform systems and call centers. This also includes data center design and implementation, including vendor change control management and general maintenance and monitoring of these and numerous client systems of the similar nature. You know…Techie stuff!

So what do I really do? In reality I’ve spent the last 25+ years working on client telecom systems making sure they are least affected when it matters the most, and fixing things if they do something unexpected .This includes everything from desktop support for unexpected issues, to system design consult and even cross-training clients to be as autonomous as they desire with their systems. Did I mention troubleshooting if they come up? That too!
